Joe
Verdoorn witnessed man's alteration of the environment during
his upbringing in Southern California and east Texas when the
orchards, waterways, and hills were irrevocably affected by
human intervention.
Joe attained a degree in Landscape Architecture, as well as
a Masters degree in Urban Planning, served a stint on the faculty
of Texas Tech University, then built the largest and most influential
landscape architecture and planning firm in Texas.
The world has been fashioned and modified by the hand of man:
Joe captures these changes in his oils, pastels, and watercolors.
The viewer is brought into this concept, and left to determine
their own reaction to this "chaotic evolution".
