CONSULTATION QUESTIONAIRE
Take some time to think about these questions. Once you’ve
done this little bit of homework, you’ll be ready
to talk specifics at your complimentary consultation.
1. What are my goals with regards to my design project?
(Example: I want a totally new look; let’s rearrange
what I already
have; do one room at a time; let’s get it done all
at the same time, I just want a plan…)

2. How much time am I willing and able to devote to this
project? (Some clients get very involved while others prefer
to have their designer present limited choices.)

3. My budget is________________________________________________________
4. Timeline – I’d like to have my project completed
by______________________________
5. Now we suggest you take a couple of hours with a stack
of magazines about interiors, 2 different colors of sticky
notes and a pencil. As you flip through the magazines use
one color of sticky notes to mark anything you like and
the other color to mark what is “yuck.” (Look
at the entire page and mark any aspect you like or dislike.)
Bring your stack to your first meeting so the designer can
note your style, taste and color preferences. Suggested
magazines: Metropolitan Home, Dwell,House Beautiful, Architectural
Digest, Country Living, Elle Décor, Traditional Living,
Cottage Living.
